Our certified trainers are ready to uplift, inspire, and empower your educators.

The Texas Trainer Registry (TTR) lists approved early childhood trainers and their trainings. To be listed on the TTR, these trainers must apply and meet eligibility criteria based on their education, training, and experience. Our trainers are registered and in compliance with TECPDS.

Once your training preference has been received, approved, and your training has been scheduled, you will receive a Trainer ID Number notifying you of which trainer will be in attendance for your selected date/time.

Our Classroom Management Practices and Teacher- Child Interactions are TOP TIER!

A Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC) is a trained health professional who partners with early learning programs to create safe, healthy, and high‑quality environments for children.

CCHCs blend expertise in child health, community health, and early childhood best practices to strengthen program quality, staff confidence, and compliance with state and national standards.

CCHCs support programs by:

  • Supporting healthy growth and assisting staff with children’s health needs
  • Reviewing and strengthening policies to align with best practices
  • Observing health and safety routines and preventing illness and injury
  • Training staff and families on essential health topics
  • Connecting programs to community resources
  • Supporting continuous quality improvement across the program

Why CCHCs Matter

Research shows that CCHCs significantly improve health and safety outcomes in early learning settings by:

  • Increasing staff knowledge of child health issues
  • Strengthening compliance with health and safety standards
  • Improving daily practices such as handwashing, sanitation, and safe sleep
  • Increasing access to screenings and assessments
  • Supporting immunization compliance and medical home connections
  • Enhancing environmental health practices
  • Promoting inclusion for children with special health care needs

A CCHC is more than a consultant; they are a partner in building healthier programs, stronger staff, and safer learning environments.

SUNNY’S LIGHT EDUCATORS

“Quality child care is the foundation for America’s prosperity and racial equity,” said Kelvin Chan, Ph.D., Managing Director of Early Childhood at Robin Hood and member of CCAoA’s Board of Directors. Not only do we need to regard quality child care as a basic public good, but it also needs to be more widely recognized as the mechanism that gives every child a fair chance to achieve future success.”

Colin’s Hope Water Safety Training

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drowning ranks fifth among the leading causes of unintentional injury death in the United States. From 2005-2014, there were an average of 3,536 fatal unintentional drownings (non-boating related) annually in the United States — about ten deaths per day. Our mission at Colin’s Hope is to raise water safety awareness to prevent children from drowning. This training is designed for parents, caregivers, educators, school directors, principals, camp counselors, and babysitters. Drowning is fast and silent. No one is drown-proof, but drowning is preventable.

Nourishing healthy eaters

Nourishing Healthy Eaters

Healthy Kids, Healthy Future continues the work of Let’s Move! Child Care (LMCC), part of Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative to prevent childhood obesity. Healthy Kids, Healthy Future encourages and supports child care and early education providers to make positive changes in their programs to work toward a healthier future for children.

During early childhood, preferences and behaviors around food are being formed. Some of these behaviors will follow children into adulthood. Nourishing Healthy Eaters explores the role that early childhood professionals and childcare environments can play to support children in establishing healthy eating behaviors, laying a foundation for lifelong health.
